Help Operation Happy Note send the gift of Music to our troops for CHRISTMAS!!
Operation Happy Note is a volunteer effort to send musical instruments to deployed service men and women throughout the world. Steve and Barb Baker from Fergus Falls, MN. and run Fergus Music started Operation Happy Note in March 2005 after their son was deployed to Iraq. They sent him a guitar and one to his friend, too. These soldiers were so pleased to have instruments while deployed that we found a way to get more instruments to our troops hence: Operation Happy Note
With the help of major musical companies, as well as individual donators, we have sent thousands of instruments, including guitars, mandolins, banjos, violins, harmonicas, and accessories. Steve also wrote a lesson program with CD for those who don't know how to play. Thousands of requests are still coming in; clearly these soldiers need the joy that music brings them.
3 Ways You Can Help
1. Make a financial donation
Shipping costs are a major deterrent to being able to send more musical instruments. Currently there are hundreds of instruments in inventory waiting to be shipped, but minimal funds available to ship them. Please help us get the instruments sent out!
2. Donate instruments
OHN is accepting donations of new or gently used guitars, violins, mandolins, banjos, keyboards, horns of any kind harmonicas and we even get requests for bagpipes. These can be sent to Operation Happy Note - 122 E. Lincoln Ave. - Fergus Falls, MN 56537 or feel free to contact OHN for details on how to donate at info@operationhappynote.com
3. Donate shipping materials
OHN is in need of shipping items we always have a great need for packing tape, boxes, Styrofoam peanuts, etc. Please contact OHN for details on how to donate.
